The World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is celebrated every year on May 21st to praise the richness of the world?s cultures, but also the essential role of intercultural dialogue in achieving prosperity, sustainable development and global peaceful coexistence.

This day was declared by the United Nations to celebrate culture?s manifold forms, from the tangible and intangible, to creative industries, to the diversity of cultural expressions, and to reflect on how these contribute to dialogue, mutual understanding, and the social, environmental and economic vectors of sustainable development.

We know for a fact that most of the world's major conflicts have a cultural dimension - and the recent events between Russia and Ukraine are an example of it. Bridging the gap between cultures is urgent and necessary for peace, stability and development, not only for economic growth but also for a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual life. At the same time, acceptance and recognition of cultural diversity are conducive to dialogue among civilizations and cultures, respect and mutual understanding.

This theme is very close to our hearts at Women Flix, as we truly believe that women?s education is an important vehicle to promote inclusion, dialogue between different cultures and ultimately a positive change toward world peace.

Women with higher education who believe in cultural dialogue and cross-cultural respect, understanding and collaboration are important agents for creating stability in the lives of their families and promoting reconciliation and peace even under very difficult and traumatic situations. Women's peacebuilding potential is enormous and we all as a society need to work towards their inclusion in policies and decision-making processes relating to conflicts.

We are Supporting women all the way to success.
